Children's Religious Education Programming
For the 2007-2008 School Year
Religious Exploration is offered throughout June, July and August for preschool through high school during the 10:30 hour.
Middle school and High school youth will be active through a project TENTS OF HOPE: A journey of compassion and peace with the refugees of Darfur, Sudan. They will gather at 10:30 am in the annex. Class will move outside to paint the tent panels.

Preschool through 5th grade will explore bike repair, safety, friendship and the art of theater! They will gather and begin class at 10:30am in Fessenden Hall!

Kent Hogwarts is a program for children (age 5 and above) and youth offered twice a year (Winter and Summer) by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Kent. During a Kent Hogwarts session, children and youth experience valuable life lessons of peace, courage, tolerance and more through the magic lens of the Harry Potter world. Course offerings may include; divination, potions, charms, care of magical creatures, herbology and MORE! Each session includes a quidditch game! UU church of Kent is looking forward to a wonder – filled active year. Please note that offering will be part of the weekly RE curriculum, as well as snacks. Allergies and special needs will be noted via the RE Registration Form. If you have not registered your child(ren) please see their teacher or the DRE for a form. RE registration plays an important role in communication between parent/guardian and teachers.
RE is offered on Sunday mornings between the hours of 9:30 – 10:30 and 11:15 – 12:15. See schedule below for specific information. Nursery is offered during both RE hours in room 202 with Emily Kidwell. |
